Job Summary: 

The Account Manager, Commercial Sales is responsible for the sale of fiber-based voice, video, data, and related services to new and existing customers in an assigned Shentel sales region. This includes managing and developing new sales opportunities in an assigned region and meeting or exceeding all sales objectives in coordination with the Commercial Sales Business Development Manager. This position will have a heavy emphasis on new customer acquisition. 


Qualification Requirements: 

a. Education: College Degree in related field or equivalent experience. 

b. Experience: 

    i. Two or more years of experience in the telecommunications industry or related field preferred. 

    ii. Three or more years of successful b2b sales experience is preferred. 

c. Skills Summary: 

    i. Ability to prioritize with good time management skills. 

    ii. Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities. 

    iii. Strong business and interpersonal communication skills. 

    iv. Self-motivated with the ability to deal effectively with customers and other Shentel employees. 

    v. Requires valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
    vi. Effective communication skills and ability to produce executive level reports. 

    vii. Strong financial skills and analytic competence. 


Other Knowledge: 

a. Proficient with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

b. Previous experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com or MS Dynamics preferred.
