Job Description:

The Advertising Accounting Clerk performs billing verification of advertising placed in Lee BHM newspapers and online. Processes and certifies legal affidavits of published advertising. Assists customers and sales staff with billing related issues through research of account activity. This involves analysis,
review and preparation of a variety of financial information and reports.
Assists with audit research and pulling and explaining relevant documentation. Performs order entry, correction and processes adjustments to ensure accurate billing of advertisers. Performs
general accounting duties including assisting with payments from accounts,
financial account maintenance, contract set up and review, and general data
input. Assists in general office support and is cross-trained for other duties
as needed.

Job requirements:

3+ years of experience in an
accounting environment (billing/receivables) or relevant accounting education.

Ability to multi-task on a wide
range of activities simultaneously.

Research oriented individual, with
attention to detail.

Data entry experience working
with-in a billing database.

Ability to use Microsoft office,
outlook, with basic excel experience.

Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM

Ability to effectively communicate
both written and oral.

Familiar with general office
equipment, computer, copier, etc
