CWS offers management expertise across the credit spectrum and supports both MasterCard and Visa accounts as well as a variety of private label debit, credit, stored value, and customer bankcards.

As a Fraud Investigation and Recovery Associate, you will investigate fraud or abuse related to account holder information for our clients.


Essential Functions:


  • Completes the necessary steps to initiate, properly conduct credit card claim investigations and respond to all claim related inquiries within regulatory or required timeframes.

  • Responsible for performing reasonable credit card investigations and filing applicable chargebacks to help mitigate fraud losses for our clients.

  • May make and/or receive phone calls to and cardholders and merchants when necessary for the claim investigations.

  • Solves problems in an effective and efficient manner with a clear understanding of when to escalate an issue or report a trend or problem to management.

  • Makes sound decisions and takes appropriate actions in the best interest of our clients.

  • Responsible for monitoring all work queues to ensure that they are maintained according to regulatory guidelines for our clients, and completes all work timely and accurately.

  • Advises management of any new fraud trends, system problems or other events that impact our ability to perform business

  • Flexible and willing to work at a rapid pace within strict time frames.

  • Assists other departments as needed.

  • May need to perform related assigned duties within the department, based on experience level.

  • Learn, comprehend, and stay updated on all FCRA requirements, FDIC Red Flag Guidelines, departmental and regulatory procedures and updates as they are established.




Education and Experience:


  • High School or its equivalent experience;

  • Experience working with various computer applications

  • 2 plus years of related customer service or collections experience.

  • 1 year of credit card operations, security/fraud or chargeback experience is strongly preferred.

  • Previous experience with First Data systems is a plus.

  • Previous experience utilizing computer applications, analyzing information, investigating/researching accounts, as needed, and making logical decisions, strongly preferred.
