Job Summary 

The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for performing BSA/AML and general compliance duties assisting the BSA/AML Compliance Officer with compliance related tasks as defined by the company and the various state and federal regulatory agencies. This includes but is not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), the BSA Administrator, FinCEN (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). This position is also responsible for working with those Comdata departments that have both direct and indirect impact over product and data security matters. 

Main Responsibilities

  • IRIS Administrator, writing, editing and maintaining the regulatory transaction monitoring rule set
  • Through IRIS, analyzes any suspicious activity as defined by the BSA and U.S. Patriot Act
  • Monitoring transactions in the AML, OFAC, Proceeds of Crime (POC) and Prohibited Persons List (PPL) screening queues particularly for inbound customer wires, ACH payments into customer accounts and ACH transactions from cards to bank accounts
  • Generates and reviews reports and account records to ensure compliance with the U.S. Patriot Act, OFAC, FinCEN and FINTRAC regulations
  • Ensures compliance with industry rules, regulations and trends
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for compliance with applicable states and federal laws and regulations relating to AML, OFAC, POC and PPL
  • Draft regulatory filings including CTRs, SARs, CMIRs, and OFAC reports for management approval
  • Partner with the business, our clients, and our third party partners to identify risks and establish the appropriate mitigating IRIS rule-based controls
  • Lead/participate in certain IRIS based auditing events
  • Maintain the high-risk customer profiles annually 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Prior experience in AML, OFAC, Fraud, Transaction Monitoring, Risk and Case Management alert-based systems along with an in depth understanding of testing methodology, risk and controls analysis and business process mapping required.
  • 3+ years in working with IRIS or similar transaction monitoring systems in AML compliance, AML regulatory, AML audit or related experience Preferred. 
  • Related certifications (CRCM; CAMS or similar) are a plus. Ability to write and implement automated transaction monitoring rules are preferred.
  • Combination of education and/or experience will be considered for the requirements listed above.
  • Experience in the production and development of reporting tools is a plus, extensive experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SQL(optional) is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, leadership and strong management skills to influence a wide range of internal audiences including respective product, function, or business partners; External audiences including regulators, Independent Auditors and Banking Partners.
