Starting Pay Rate $9.95

Summary:
As a camp photographer your focus is on creating content that can be shared across all our platforms (social media, website, SmugMug). This internship is ideal for digital marketing, communication, photography, film, videography, public relations, and advertising majors.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Capturing high quality images of campers both in the classroom and in the Zoo
• Use own personal camera equipment
• Upload images to SmugMug website each week
• Report to work on time, each day of scheduled shift
• Use time and resources effectively to accomplish program goals
• Maintain effective business relations with those encountered in the course of work


Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Excellent photography and personal relations skills
• Ability to work in a variety of settings to capture candid and planned photo moments
• Strong diplomatic and customer service skills
• Ability to function in a multi-task environment, independently and in a team
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record to maintain zoo standards of insurability
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, minimum of 5 weeks between June1 and August 14
• Must submit link to portfolio
• Must possess ability to:
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships


Education and/or Experience:
• Completed Sophomore year of college or university and working towards a photography related major
• Experience working with children of various ages in an informal or formal education setting


Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, indoors and outdoors. Intern must be able to work outside for long periods of time. 


Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Ability to work with children ages 3 years old to High School
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, and inclement weather
