SENIOR PROPERTY ADMINISTRATOR

HRL LLC., located in Malibu CA, has opportunities for a dynamic, self-motivated, experienced individual to fulfill our property and inventory control needs.

The selected individual will work closely with an onsite property team but will have the primary responsibility for the management and control of the property for a multiplatform (mechanical, hardware, IT, etc) program. The selected individual will work in a highly collaborative environment with teammates, key stakeholders and the Government customers to ensure program success.


Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

Management and accounting of property (in particular Government property) using customer property accounting systems.Management of the property in accordance with the customer and Government requirements and guidelines.


Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Manage property control activities; receiving, identification, record origination, utilization
    through the disposition and contract closure activities.

  • Update and maintain audit-able backup data and files for any Loss, Theft, Damage or Destruction of property (LTDD); Reports of Discrepancy (RODS).

  • Report applicable property in the Item Unique Identification (IUID) registry.

  • Generate any annual, monthly or quarterly reports of property to our customers.

  • Perform and maintain inventories on equipment, tooling and material assets and generate required reports of completion on schedule.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, contractual and FAR/DFARS requirements.

  • Assist the logistics team in resolving equipment configuration questions, while ensuring
    parent/child relationships reflect accurately on the property record.

  • Perform quality control checks of purchasing and property records to ensure required data
    fields are accurate and complete and that supporting documentation has been recorded and uploaded to corporate enterprise systems

  • Plan and conduct internal audits and support external corporate or Government property audits


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of
    prior relevant experience.

  • Knowledge and support of the property outcomes: acquisition, receipt, records, physical inventory, subcontractor control, reports, relief of stewardship, utilization, maintenance and property closeout

  • Prior experience with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) audits

  • Experience ordering, processing, shipping, receiving, packaging, material handling, property accountability and discharge of excess property

  • Knowledge understanding of automated inventory control systems

  • Ability to perform supply/inventory management-program functions including, but not limited to, determination of requirements, distribution and redistribution of items, supply
    fund management, procurement authorization, and disposition of excess property, provide reconciliation of inventory balances with physical counts and other supply functions

  • Ability to integrate separate functions into planning or implementing a property management program

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

  • Excellent decision making ability and sound judgment with strong attention to detail

  • Skills operating MS-Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytical skills.

  • Expertise with government logistics and supply chain management operations

  • Prior property control experience in support of the U.S. military or DoD contractor is a plus

Security Clearance Requirement

  • Must have an active TS/SCI in order to be considered for this position


This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
