Intern- Test Engineer

 Intern (Engineer 1) – Microfabrication Technologies Laboratory – Metrology, Test, Assembly & Automation

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and debug custom code for developing unified queue system in both javascript and C++ in MS sharepoint environment. Run verification tests in a sandbox environment, enabling new features and reporting on status on feature implementation to MTL technical leads

  • Research and report directly to MTL technical leads to help implement and purchase state of the art manufacturing execution system software for data automation

  • Develop and maintain custom code to enable laboratory test and metrology equipment to upload recorded data to a SQL database. Debug and maintain existing code, reporting changes and resolution of bugs using clear and concise documentation.

  • Analyze and compile reports from data collected by Test and Metrology staff to meet customer satisfaction

  • Assist in developing new ways to automate both data collection as well as analysis

  • Assist in purchasing of photolithographic design masks used in the laboratory, collaborating with technical staff to ensure that specifications are met for each mask design

  • Coordinate technical reviews of finalized photolithographic design layouts to ensure designs are to fabrication specification.

  • Resolve application specific bugs and issues in a windows and linux server environment, specifically for semiconductor manufacturing and design applications (cadence, cliosoft, ADS, HFSS, AWR)

  • Any other actions required by management/leadership

Required skills

  • Knowledge of javascript and .net code

  • Good documentation skills

  • Must be pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in computer science or equivalent field of study

Preferred skills

  • Experience in JMP software

  • Experience in Python, MATLAB, and html

  • Experience in MS SQL

  • Experience in linux environment

  • Knowledge of semiconductor processing and manufacturing

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
