Engineer III -- Lead Wafer Fabrication Integration Engineer

Essential Job Functions:
 
This position will join an interdisciplinary team in developing high performance electronic materials for micro-fabricated devices. The candidate is expected to participate in the process development planning with the team to prepare standardized process instructions (aka. Process travelers) for various short loop experiments and full loop wafer fabrication. The position involves managing and tracking progress of all wafer lots in fabrication, analyzing long term trends affect quality and velocity of wafer lot fab and make recommendations for corrective action. The position requires generating regular lot progress reports and updates for the team.


Experience Desired:
 
The candidate has 5 or more years of experience with microelectronics semiconductor fabrication and metrology. Candidates should have a track record in wafer process integration and wafer fabrication in a low volume production and R&D environment. The candidate should have experience in developing and executing novel process flows, composing travelers, and developing wafer fabrication unit processes in photolithography, thin film deposition, thin film etching and wafer wet processing. Knowledge of design of experiments methodology is a plus.


Knowledge Desired:
 
Must be able to work safely in laboratory settings including semiconductor processing and clean room facilities. Proficiency in the use of computers, engineering work stations, and common electronic test equipment is required. Writing and maintaining process documentation is necessary. Data analysis and plotting using Excel/JMP or similar software is required. SPC and related disciplines is expected.


Education Desired:
 
B.S. + 5 years experience OR Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related fields.

Special requirements: U.S. citizenship status is required.


This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
