Engineer IV - Electron Beam Lithography

EDUCATION DESIRED: PhD or M.S. in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Materials or Computer Science or related discipline. Advance degree with demonstrated problem solving ability in an R&D or volume manufacturing environment are preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Must develop and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of electron beam and optical lithography tool operation. The successful candidate will rely on engineering judgment, statistical DOE techniques, solid data analysis and presentation skills to arrive at solutions to complex lithography problems. Must interface with internal customers to identify optimal solutions in a dynamic environment. 

EXPERIENCE DESIRED: Minimum three years experience with a demonstrated successful track record of fabricating structures utilizing advanced lithography. Multilayer lithography integration in advanced CMOS technology (45nm node or below). Understanding of the impact of fabrication variations on device performance is desired. Experience with state of the art fabrication equipment including; advanced optical or ebeam lithography tools, CDSEM, developers and photoresists. Solid understanding of process models and/or proximity correction algorithms. Strong and clear technical presentation skills. History of demonstrated technical innovation is desirable. Training in safe-handling of laboratory chemicals and equipment is a must.

KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: A strong work methodology is essential which includes: requirements gathering, functional specification, mask generation, scientific programming, validation, technical approval, and coordination of all aspects of lithography processes. In-depth knowledge and proven track record of advanced lithography fabrication techniques to develop state of the art devices. A knowledge of how lithography materials and techniques integrate into the device fabrication flow and device performance. Strong knowledge of device physics and statistical techniques for correlating measured processing data with electrical performance. Computer programming involving Bash, Python, or a related scripting language, as well as Linux fundamentals is a plus.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidate should possess a strong acumen for solving lithography fabrication issues, with the ability to create a technical roadmap for solutions. Candidate will lead and drive technical solutions within the lithography team

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.
