Customer Service Coordinator, Rockford, IL
HOURS 8am - 5pm M-F
Render assistance to BCOs, broker carriers, agents, shippers and consignees when problems are encountered. Provide timely, efficient, and equitable resolution to service interruptions
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide everyone with the opportunity to work in a SAFETY FIRST environment.
Accurately complete LSIR (Landstar Service Incident Report) on all service issues.
Use re-power process to assure delivery of freight in a timely manner.
Mediate service disputes involving agents, capacity and customers following established processes.
Manage the removal of 3PL load postings in competition with direct customer freight.
Counsel Landstar agents on proper dispatch as described in Landstar Complete & Accurate Dispatch Checklist.
Determine, if any and, what type of corrective action is warranted for service issues caused by capacity.
Administer settlement adjustments as required.
Approve and issue company funds as needed.
Track and locate past due shipments.
Provide proof of delivery to customer upon request.
Achieve S.M.A.R.T. goals as set forth.
Support Emergency Operations Check Call Center as required.
Support special projects as requested.
Work Saturdays and holidays as scheduled and overtime as required.
Occasional travel as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Previous customer service experience in a similar position
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
