For 20 years, Mesa Community Action Network (MesaCAN) has served low-income Mesa residents by meeting their immediate needs and providing programs and support.

MesaCAN makes an important impact in the community, increasing the stability and security of low-income households across Mesa. 

MesaCAN is currently seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant.
Schedule: Full Time; Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
Salary: $13.50/hr + $1.50/hr Bilingual incentive
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Receives and assists visitors and telephone callers. Screens and prioritizes calls, assists visitors or callers whenever possible or directs to the appropriate individual or department as needed. Retrieves voicemails.
  • Attend and actively contribute to weekly staff and training meetings and prepares minutes as required by program need.
  • Disperse mail.
  • Notifies staff as to meetings and/or trainings available and dates, along with agency compliance requirements and other pertinent information.
  • Assist with assurance of compliance with licensing entities and accreditation organizations.
  • Orders and maintains office and program supply inventory. Acts as a resource for various office equipment (i.e. printer, copier, fax, etc.).
  • Generate applicable monthly reports as dictated by program needs.
  • Organize and prepare meetings as directed to include: reservations, room arrangements, food, and supplies
  • Seeks out innovative ways to streamline and improve workflow processes.
  • Develops and maintains records and files in an organized accurate manner.
  • Bilingual, Spanish-English required.
  • Significant working abilities of Microsoft Professional Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation and Current Auto Liability Insurance.
  • A Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card or the ability to obtain one
  • 39 Month clean motor vehicle record
