Process all regular cycle and off-cycle Payroll runs including calculating and processing payroll gross to net, processing final employee paperwork, maintaining payroll garnishments
Data entry into payroll system, ensuring accurate and proper processing of payroll. Audit of biweekly payroll reports prior to submission to ensure accuracy of data as well as identification of issues
Analyze payroll figures and implement process improvements
Update and maintain payroll site to comply with company policy and procedures; provide payroll provider with all correspondence related to tax rate changes and state or federal notices.
Train, monitor, and appraise payroll staff.
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes
Provide audit support and ensure compliance with Company policy
Answer employee questions in a timely, professional manner
Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Administer employee insurance programs including life, disability, and health insurance plans.
Administer employee savings plans that may include the company’s 401(k) plan, personal savings plans, and deferred compensation programs.
Facilitates accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers.
Completes records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
Conducts employee surveys, census, and other research and demographic efforts required to collect accurate quotes from benefit providers
Assists as needed to perform other related duties and special projects as required
Ensuring onboarding for all new hires are complete
Basic HR functions
Performs other duties as assigned
