Flow Cytometry Sales Specialist - US


As a result of an exciting new venture, Luminex Corporation has acquired industry-leading flow cytometry and imaging flow cytometry technology. We are looking to expand our talented team of sales professionals, in order to grow our business and provide even greater value to our customers. Our products include the world-renowned Guava and Amnis brands of cutting-edge cell analysis instruments, software, and reagents. As a dedicated Flow Cytometry Sales Specialist, you will develop and implement sales strategies and tactics for meeting revenue goals and increasing general awareness and adoption of Luminex flow cytometry tools within key accounts, primarily in the Northeastern US.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

·Manage all aspects related to the sales process.

·Implement sales strategies, interact directly with scientists to understand their flow cytometry needs, and provide them with solutions from the Luminex Flow Cytometry portfolio, including the Guava Muse and easyCyte, Amnis CellStream, FlowSight, and ImageStream instruments, reagents, software, and service.

·Deliver seminars to life science researchers outlining our solutions, and coordinate instrument demonstrations alongside our instrument Field Applications Scientist (iFAS) team.

·Provide and negotiate pricing to customers and manage a pipeline, and closely monitor and communicate sales order closing in order to ensure timely delivery of products to our customers.

·Provide ongoing post-sales support of customers to ensure complete

satisfaction and foster repeat business.

Education and Experience:

·Bachelors, Masters, or PhD Degree in Life Science.

·3+ years of direct sales experience, with documented success, preferred.

·Previous experience selling into Academic, Bio-Pharma and/or Government laboratories.


Capital equipment sales experience would be advantageous.

Training / Skills / Certificates and Licenses:

·Completed training course(s) on strategic and complex sales environments preferred.

Work Conditions:

·Travel requirement: 50% or greater

·Work situations include dealing with people; working alone; making judgments and decision; and directing, coordinating, or planning the activity of others.

·Physical Demands: All positions require standing, stooping, bending, climbing, sitting, kneeling, and lifting

at least 10 lbs.
