240 - Peer Support Specialist BHS (PT)
Serve as member in a collaborative, recovery-oriented, evidence based integrated employment service. Work collaboratively with clinical staff, Vocational Specialist, and consumer groups. Carry out duties for the purpose of the development and implementation of employment strategies and peer support within a person-centered Recovery Plan. Hold job club groups and other peer support activities. Work in collaboration with a LMHA clinical team, track data, review progress, modify and report on individualized recovery plans as recommended. Assist team to assure that project Goals are implemented for both the supported employment staff and the team on which assigned. Follow the rules and procedures of Connecticut Mental Health Center and other sites as assigned policies and procedures for professional services. Complete project reporting compliance with regard to data and outcomes as assigned by Director of Behavioral Health. Applicants who have completed the Advocacy Unlimited Peer Certification Training are preferred. Driver's license and personally owned & insured vehicle required. Experience working with the mental health & addiction population preferred. Applicant must be flexible with scheduling.
