St. Paul’s Senior Services is excited to announce an amazing opportunity to be part of San Diego’s St. Paul's PACE program (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly). This innovative program is for individuals 55 years or older, who are living with chronic illness, or disabilities and need coordinated medical care to continue living as independently as possible in their home and community. The healthcare teams at St. Paul’s PACE provide a hands-on approach coordinating medical, social, and home care services so individuals no longer need to manage their medical care alone. 
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer, develops, organizes and monitors a Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Plan (QAPI) for St. Paul’s PACE. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing, along with the Medical Director, the 
Quality Improvement (QI) annual plan, and guiding the implementation of the plan. The Quality Assurance Manager ensures that data is collected from all appropriate sources, that the data is examined, and the results are shared with all stakeholders. Oversees the process to evaluate and resolve medical and non-medical grievances and appeals by participants, their family members, or representatives. Supervises the Quality Assurance Specialists. The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure compliance with all CMS and State required activities and regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education - Minimum of Bachelors Degree in health related field or three years of relevant experience in health related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in quality assurance and performance improvement activities in a health related work environment. 
Physical Demands and Working Conditions: 
  • Physical Requirements – Requires standing, walking, occasional pushing and pulling and lifting. Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Visual, Hearing and Communication Requirements - Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. 
  • Visual, Hearing and Communication Requirements- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally with all staff, caregivers, participants, and community at large.
  • Pressure Factor - Requires working under stressful conditions. Working conditions may be noisy and crowded and fluctuating indoor temperatures. Moderate pressure to meet scheduled appointments while dealing with frail and confused participants. Subject to participants that may have the potential for verbal or physical aggression.
  • Environmental Conditions - May be exposed to a risk through contact with toxic substances, communicable diseases and any other conditions common in a health care environment. Subject to unpleasant odors. 
 

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO CLEAR FINGERPRINTS THROUGH DOJ AND FBI IN ADDITION TO A DRUG SCREEN CLEARANCE.
