This position will manage a team of Network Engineers proving support to one or more OnX Managed Services clients and work with various departments within Core Network, OSP Planning & Engineering, VoIP Engineering, and other operations and support organizations in the planning, configuration and implementation associated with our IP network(s).
Essential Functions
• Manage a team of approximately 6 Network Engineers providing services to one or more OnX clients in the Atlantic Region
• Focal point to OnX clients for Network services
• Ensure compliance with SLAs
• Participate in monthly / quarterly reviews
Education
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job-related experience
Experience/Background
• Minimum 5 years related technical/networking experience required
• Minimum 2 years team management experience
• Strong background in engineering and administering IP networks.
• Cisco Certifications such as CCNP or CCIE highly recommended.
• In depth Experience with TCP/IP platforms involving dynamic routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP and their related control protocols.
• Practical real world experience of heterogeneous networking components along with knowledge of routing/ switching involving VLANs, ATM, Frame relay and optical carriers.
• Project Management experience a plus.
• Experience using network analysis, management and performance monitoring tools to evaluate product and service behaviors.
• Excellent communication skills demonstrated through customer service experience
• Excellent written communication skills.
