This position functions within the Aftermarket Parts and Assemblies (APA) Market Team

as an administrator within the Bristol warehouse. This group is responsible for warehousing
materials for APA stock, expediting orders to match sales requirements (when
necessary), supporting inventory reduction and turn-over goals, and
communicating with internal customers (such as APA Sales, DSV/ERC/ERV/SDG and
the Warehouse associates) and external customers (i.e. shippers, vendors,
municipalities) to ensure that we meet APA objectives and our customers’ needs.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Stay current in your field of expertise.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual objectives.
  • Promote relationships by timely communication.
  • Continue education to increase/improve skills.
  • Contribute toward the development and execution of
         continuous improvement through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Support execution and continuous improvement of
         effective processes and flows to support Spartan Business Systems needs,
         maintain ISO certification and drive APA improvements.
  • Supports other APA managers and associates to develop
         and report yearly goals, objectives, budgets and growth opportunities.
  • Serves as daily point of contact between Bristol and
         Charlotte for warehouse administrative issues.
  • Create and analyze inventory reports.
  • Provides warehouse systems, process and inventory
         support.
  • Oversees customs charges and verifies correctness.
  • Assists in writing reports/queries generated from
         system information.
  • Orders warehouse shipping supplies.
  • Follow up on suspended part orders and released order
         when part arrives.
  • Supports inventory cycle count to insure inventory
         accuracy.
  • Assists warehouse in providing Inventory Control and
         identification of root causes.
  • Assists in procuring National Free Trade Agreement
         certificates for all parts (for Canada).
  • Assists in analyzing freight costs and reviewing wrong
         address or other additional shipping charges.
  • Support Month and Year-end processing requirements.
  • Provide assistance to parts representative and
         shippers, as needed.
  • Process Returned Materials Authorizations.
  • Other tasks that may be required to satisfy APA goals
         and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred, in business,
         supply chain or operations is preferred.
  • Proven ability to achieve results while meeting budget
         constraints.
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong organizational
         and process skills.
  • Proven successful background in business day-to-day
         operations, as well as an ability to think strategically.
  • Strong customer service ethic.
  • Excellent and effective communication skills (verbally
         and written).
  • Demonstrable computer skills (Microsoft Office) and
         willingness to learn new applications /software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Accurate with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills that
         support functional requirements of the position.
  • Strong work ethic demonstrated by excellent attendance
         record.
  • Ability to resolve problems with proven and acceptable
         tools.
  • Willing to work any shift.
  • Willingness to utilize new techniques and methods to
         improve efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of sales, parts and service business.
  • Enthusiastic and upbeat personality.
  • Demonstrated successful supplier negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work equally well
         individually, or as parts of a team, to create a team-based work
         atmosphere.
