Lead Membership Associate_NE-NSC_Fund Raising-200

Under the direction of the Membership/Volunteer/Communications Coordinator, the Membership  Associate Lead will sell and promote  The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center memberships and program offerings to the Greenville Community. This position will also be Manager on Duty for the Kroc Center. 

Maintain supply of printed materials of membership and program information for guests, members and potential members.

Conduct tours of the facility to individuals who are considering joining the Kroc Center as a member.

Sign up program participants in the Kroc kiosk; ensuring a high level of accuracy.

Complete the membership process with new members utilizing the Kroc kiosk and ensuring accuracy in monies paid for membership

Complete end of shift responsibilities including but not limited to: reconciling monies taken in versus memberships and programs sold, straightening up membership area and replenishing any marketing materials

Answer all incoming phone calls in a professional manner.  Have the ability to either answer questions with acute knowledge or be able to direct the caller to the correct staff for answers.

Assist Membership Director with any tasks related to membership, volunteer or communications.  This could include stuffing and addressing envelopes, copying, folding, updating database, phone calls, etc.

Handle any member/customer issues at the Kroc Center in a professional and calm manner. 

Report to Risk Manager any incidents/accidents that occur in the facility. Complete Incident Report and send to appropriate directors.

Close the building at night, ensuring all members/customers are out of the building ,escort staff out to their cars, walk through the facility to make sure all areas are secured for the evening close out as Manager all kiosks with membership and set alarm system.  

Must be able to work Tuesdays 11am to 3pm; Wednesdays 2pm to 8pm; Fridays 5:15am to 1pm; Saturdays work 1 or 2 Saturdays a month; Sundays 1:45 to 7pm.
   

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent

And

Three years experience working with general public in a sales or service atmosphere

Or

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to present a positive and professional image of The Salvation Army.

Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports in an accurate and complete manner.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.

Duties are usually performed seated.  Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.

Lift, squat and maneuver a Light amount (less than 15 pounds) of dead weight, for less than 5% of a scheduled shift
