ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 

The HR Operations Manager for The Wine Group will lead a team of HR Operations staff in the execution of policies, systems, and processes supporting the employees of the company. This leader will help identify, develop, implement, and evaluate key HR systems and process initiatives across multiple platforms and enterprise systems. This person will provide a supportive and engaging environment for operational excellence and employee development. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with the other HR team members, and business leaders to build an excellent HR Operations function that optimizes operational effectiveness and HR business support.


Core skills and experience:

  • Ceridian Dayforce System design, processes, and implementation experience

  • Experience leading HR operations teams leveraging a shared services model

  • Proven track record in building collaborative relationships within the business and with other HR professionals

  • Experience with HCM systems and core HR policies and compliance

  • Ability to lead a diverse team, including coaching, development, and goal setting

Job Responsibilities:

  • Management: Demonstrate the ability to attract and make great hiring decision, develop talent on the team and for the greater organization, set goals and hold team members accountable to them and coach team members to teach them how to remove barriers to enable them to deliver results more effectively, efficiently, and rapidly.

  • Leadership: Use influence and coaching skills to cultivate a culture that reflects the values and principles of the organization. Seek feedback of stakeholders and business leaders on employee performance and development activities.

  • Process Improvement: Align and continuously evolve HR Operations processes with Talent Management practices and process to ensure timely support and execution.

  • Expertise: Strong competence in HR Operations processes including Leave of Absence, Onboarding, Terminations, Employee Changes, Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment verification, etc.

  • Business Analysis: gather stakeholder/end user requirements by studying business functions; analyzing business systems requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities.

  • Consulting: Collaborate with HR, IT, and business leaders to identify, develop, and implement process and/or system solutions.

  • Service Delivery: Maintain high standard in SLA for HR Operations. Keep metrics of tickets and operational challenges for improvement in service delivery to the business.

  • Data Integrity: High degree of focus on Data Integrity for more effective business intelligence, compliance and process improvement.

  • Operations: Lead team to manage employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, employee changes, employment verifications, workers compensation, leaves of absence, and processing of employee separations. Maintain employee records. Oversee relocation program.

  • HR Operations Communications: Maintain up-to-date company information on HR intranet, self-service portals, HR/employee record-keeping and policies, implement adequate processes and audits, and keep apprised of employment legal updates to ensure company compliance.

  • Compliance: Establish a robust compliance tracking framework. Assure EEOC/AAP Affirmative Action Program reporting and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years’ experience in an HR Mgmt. role or related leadership role with broad knowledge of HR Operations and Systems
  • Bachelor's Degree required with an emphasis in Human Resources, Mathematics, Analytics, or Finance

  • Ability to provide leadership, work collaboratively on teams, and consult effectively and independently with all levels and functional areas of an organization

  • Commitment to continuous process improvement in people strategies and initiatives

  • Demonstrate project/program management skills with the ability to focus on details

  • Excellent organization and prioritization capabilities

  • Effective communication skills - written, verbal and listening skills

  • Excellent presentation skills
