We’re looking for amazing people! Come join VHDA as a Business Solutions Intern. This important role will work in the Business Solutions Department of the Homeownership Division. This department has numerous technical functions supporting the Loan Origination System and Servicing System.  This position will have a technology focus and will help in a variety of assignments relating to technology solutions for the Homeownership Systems.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Executing on team deliverables as needed with high attention to detail, as it relates to technology solutions;

  • Participating in training sessions, shadowing subject matter experts and reading appropriate documentation to gain an understanding of day-to-day processes and the technologies that support them;

  • Supporting and participating in the development and on-going maintenance of department documentation;

  • Assisting with retrieval of information from the database to support testing efforts;  

  • Participating in department related data validation and manipulation for the purposes of testing, system integration and report generation;

  • Assisting in the overall implementation and execution of project and performance criteria for Homeownership Systems;

  • Contributing to a positive and motivating team environment.

Qualified candidates must:

  • Be enrolled in a degree program with a strong technology focus during internship;

  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or better;

  • Be proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products;

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred experience includes knowledge of SQL data querying and the ability to understand user metrics and general data integrity.

Chosen candidate will have the opportunity to work up to 20 hours per week while taking classes and up to 29 hours per week during breaks (i.e. summer).
