911 (NG911) Sales Manager (Emergency Management Division)
The NG911 Sales Manager reports directly to the Senior Vice President and is responsible for the day-to-day product management of Next Generation Emergency Services (NG911) products and services. This position is also responsible for positioning and selling the NG911 product line, services and applications into State and Local Government market segments.
**This can be a remote position**
Market and manage the full suite of services under the Akimeka portfolio, including Next Generation 911, Managed Services, and 911 products and services.
Prospects on a continual basis to identify, qualify, and close high quality new business.
Lead all prospecting and sales-related activities within an assigned deck of Government 911 accounts to grow net new revenue and new bookings, often requiring more than 40 hours weekly.
Knowledge of Traditional 911, Selective Routing, Next Generation 911 product lines is a requirement.
Existing relationships with PSAPs across the United States
Feature selection, Proposal Generation, Promotion, Generation of Offer tools, Sales Support (as related to Product), and Customer presentations.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a C-Level Government executives, and local legislative bodies at the City Council/County Commission level and develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers, Police Chief, Sheriff, Mayor, CIO, CAO, Fire Chief and other officials in order to understand and influence technology and funding priorities.
Proactively engage and lead channel partners in selling Akimeka NG911 products and services to customers buying centers where appropriate.
Ensure and maintain minimum funnel goals are met or exceeded, including lead and lag measures.
Strategically leads internal resources to develop and execute successful pursuit plan while representing Akimeka as the single point of contact for most services and escalations.
Focus on delivering exceptional customer satisfaction, both internal and external, by responding to inquires quickly and accurately.
Utilize professional networks, relationships within customers, and other industry forums to create new opportunities/prospects.
Effectively qualify opportunities to ensure greatest return on time and resource investment across territory.
Responsible for attainment of annual sales plan and strategic account planning for several Government accounts.
Ability to work with our channel partners and its sales resources focused on government accounts.
Act as a trusted advisor to influence customer’s NG911 platform decisions and develop preference and loyalty for Akimeka.
Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
Developing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree is preferred in addition to 5+years of related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience in a related discipline such as technical sales, solutions selling, applications and virtualization, etc.
Direct experience with PSAPs, LECs and their E9-1-1 interconnect will be highlighted in the ideal candidate
Existing relationships with area’s Government/Education agencies and universities. Knowledge of public safety customers (police, Fire, Sheriff, EMS, 911) a plus
Strong background in NENA specifications including legacy, i2, i3 and forward-facing 9-1-1 and telecommunication technologies.
Understanding of current E9-1-1 location database and database management related to wireline, wireless, and VoIP.
Experience in identifying customer segments through quantitative and qualitative research, and skills in strategy and business development.
Representing the product to influential press reviewers or speaking to a room full of interested internal or external customers should excite you.
Passion about technology and have a strong vision for the possibilities and impact that NG9-1-1 will have on the public.
Technical aptitude and proficiency with MS products including Excel and PowerPoint
Experience selling software solutions.
