Job Summary

Proposal/Business Development (BD) Specialist will oversee corporate proposal development in response to open and unsolicited opportunities. This activity may include managing proposal resources and documents, keeping the resources secure, and ensuring the proposal response meet both the company standard and the RFP requirements. In addition, the candidate will also help the company secure new business by coordinating the identification of new opportunities.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate capture and proposal activities, to include but not limited to identifying issues remaining in order to complete the proposal and suggest approaches to keep the proposal development activity on schedule.

  • Responsible for tracking proposals and leading weekly BD review meeting

  • Organize, maintain and update the proposal resources on the Energetics MS Teams site

  • Work closely with senior management and contracts staff during the proposal development and review process; which includes providing status reports

  • Manage social media activities (engagement plan developed by Marketing Specialist)

  • Establish a proposal responses protocol (templates/graphics/prepared text summaries/resumes)

  • Partner with marketing staff to assist in the preparation of presentations and webinars for prospective clients

  • Create templates and standardized inputs for proposals

  • Coordinate responses with Energetics’ Contracts Team

  • Manage proposal preparation activities from start to finish

  • Responsible for timely and accurate submission of proposal that is complaint to RFP request

  • Establish timelines and due dates for proposal elements

  • Assemble the proposal team

  • Coordinate proposal tasks with team members

  • Oversee the completion of technical input, resumes, graphics and technical editing assignments

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5 years’ commercial experience supporting and leading proposal responses for the federal, state or municipal government opportunities, preferably in the technical and management space.

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Superior Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)

  • Experience writing and managing winning proposals

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work remotely when required

  • Ensure to include Education, years of experience, travel requirements

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degrees in English, marketing, communications, business or related discipline

  • Experience with proposal automation software

  • Experience developing discriminators and win predictions

  • Knowledge of consulting or Federal contracting a plus.
